Dr Michael Turner

Dr Michael Turner has over 19 years of experience providing dental care to patients in Adelaide and regional South Australia. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2004 and spent his first couple of years working in Glenelg before moving to Mount Gambier and the Barossa Valley.

After nine years, Dr Michael decided to move his young family back to Adelaide to be closer to extended family and bought Bay Family Dental in 2017 (formally known as Nile Street Dental Care).

Dr Michael is passionate about helping you have a healthy mouth and getting the smile you have always wanted. He has an interest in all areas of general dentistry, including cosmetic, crown, bridge, and implant dentistry. He is dedicated to continuous learning and has undertaken further study in orthodontics focusing on clear aligner treatments to help his patients to get the smile they have always wanted.

Outside of work, Michael loves spending time with his wife , three young children, his Labrador and Labradoodle, going to the beach, AFL, and cricket.

Dr Michael Barbaro

Dr Michael Barbaro is an Adelaide local, growing up in the Western suburbs and attending St. Michael’s College. He graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

Dr Michael is passionate about all areas of general dentistry and is dedicated to providing excellent patient care, allowing his patients to feel comfortable and valued. He is committed to consistently improving his knowledge base and skillset throughout various CPD courses and seminars.

Away from the clinic, Dr Michael enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing football, golf and basketball.

Dr Asha Karki

Dr Asha Karki graduated in 2016 from Nepal's Tribhuvan University, She has obtained experience working in both private and public settings. She has called Australia home since 2019.

Dr. Asha is passionate about all facets of general dentistry and strives to treat each
patient with gentleness, communication, and patient focus, addressing their
individual concerns. The most rewarding aspect of her work, which she finds most
satisfying, is assisting patients in overcoming dental anxiety and creating a safe and
positive experience for the patient to achieve their smile.

A devoted member of the Australian Dental Association, Dr. Asha takes pleasure in
attending continuing education courses on a regular basis.

When Dr. Asha isn’t attending to her patients’ smiles, she likes spending time with
her husband and enjoys exploring new places and taking photographs.

Stella

Stella is passionate about preventative dentistry and believes that through education and motivation to make small changes, optimum oral health can be achieved. Stella enjoys working with people of all ages and believes that good habits in dental care is a great investment for future overall health. Stella delivers high quality treatment to all her patients by providing comprehensive children examinations, preventative treatments, restorative dentistry, routine hygiene care, and periodontal treatment with ongoing maintenance and whitening.

Stella grew up in Adelaide and is a Bachelor of Oral Health graduate from the University of Adelaide. On completion of the degree in 2013 she was awarded the Executive Dean’s Certificate of Merit and the Oral Health Research Prize.

Stella is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association of Australia and continues to expand her knowledge by attending courses and education seminars.

Stella enjoys spending time with her two children, travelling and all things outdoors. She also spends a lot of time on Kangaroo Island.

Jasmeen

Jasmeen is a dedicated member of the Bay Family Dental team. She obtained her degree from the University of Adelaide as an Oral Health Therapist. Jasmeen is always eager and committed to personal and professional growth.

With a focus on preventative dentistry, Jasmeen is passionate about laying the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles for her patients. She strives to deliver exceptional care by providing comprehensive examinations, preventive treatment, restorative dentistry, and oral health education for young children. Jasmeen's dedication extends to offering thorough periodontal care for our adult patients, emphasising the importance of good oral health.

Jasmeen's warm and friendly nature honours our commitment to creating a comfortable environment for our patients. Outside of work, she is an early enthusiast, kickstarting her mornings with an early gym session and embracing productivity. Jasmeen also values quality moments with family and friends.
